When I first started to read this story it wasn’t really interesting to me, i regretted reading this story at first but as I continued to read the story I ended up actually liking it. This was a very sad I feel like reading this story has been a good experience for me. i feel like this because I think this story has taught me that people who are ill are just as normal as people who are healthy, and they want to do the same stuff just like everyone else is doing. Also, reading this book has given me a better understanding of how ill people actually live before reading this story i had no idea about how people who are sick are actually living, and what they think, and how they feel on a daily basis. reading this book has helped me learn that I should be happy with my place in this world. This story helped me learn that because there are people who are facing challenges more difficult than whatever i'm going through, for example, just like in the story there are people who've got sickenesses like cancer who go through a lot each day, and there are other people who are struggling with things like school. Reading this just helped me realize that we all have to go through different obstacles in life, and whenever we're going through something we should all remember to stay positive because there are people who have got it worse than we do like the characters in this story. The saddest thing in this book in my opinion is when Isaac loses both of his eyes, and his girlfriend leaves him and doesn’t send him any cards, emails, text messages, or phone calls. I think this was the saddest thing in the story because it was already bad enough that he had to lose both of his eyes due to cancer and had to become blind, but then the person who was supposed to be with him and help him get through it left him without giving him a good reason on why she was leaving him. I just feel like it was really messed up that she left him when he was at a hard time in his life, and that’s when she was supposed to be there to make sure he was okay. I am very happy that i ended up reading the book.
